CITY WALK/SPY WALK - WHAT HAPPENED CATS FALCK?
On November 18, 1984, journalist Cats Falck and her friend disappear without a trace after a visit to a restaurant. Join us on this unique tour that tells us about their bizarre spy story to say the least. Despite one of the most extensive search efforts in Swedish criminal history, the women remain engulfed by the earth. Only a little over 6 months later, on 29 May 1985, the women were found by military mine-divers from KA1 on another mission, in Lena Gräns upside-down car at the bottom of Norra Hammarby Harbour, strapped into the car's seat belts. What had happened? How did they get there? What was behind it? Google “Cats Falck” and thousands of posts, theories and claims come to light in the results, ranging from the official police accident theory to the East German STASI drowning them with “city water”. What is true, what is nonsense, what is misdirection and what is “fake news”? After over seven years of research and access to unique sources and archives that no one else had access to, we can uncover the truth about their disappearance in a dangerous Cold War Stockholm where spies, double agents and assassins were rampant. A Sweden and Stockholm where a young Swedish journalist had to pay the ultimate price when her journalistic work threatened powerful interests. In connection with the hike, we will also touch on the strange “suicide” of Inspector of Weapons Carl-Fredrik Algernon on January 15, 1987, when these cases are linked. GROUP DISCOUNT! Are you a group of between 5 and 10 people in a group? Book with group discount and get 20% discount on entire booking TAKE NOTE! We follow the Swedish Consumer Agency's guidelines regarding events, which means that a refund of the paid booking fee will only be made if the event is cancelled. In case of illness or other reasons for missing the event, no refund will be made and instead offered the opportunity to attend another event at the same or lower cost. We have designed our hike in agreement with the girls' relatives and close friends who also participated on the first hike in June 2020, so opinions about whether or not the hike should be, as well as its suitability, is ignored. About Swedish Spy Museum

Swedish Spy Museum Project is a voluntary driven project to create a museum of intelligence history in Sweden, a "Swedish Spy Museum".

Our skilled guides take you through stories of spies, agents, and secret and covert activities in Sweden throughout history, where we put these in their historical context.

Until our project with a physical museum can be realized, we organize lectures and during the summer months, various “Spy” Walking tours.

Our spy tours are walks in areas of intelligence historical interest, currently only within Stockholm County, but other tours may come later.

The walks vary in length but usually last between 2½ to 3½ hours depending on the extent of the hike and the guest's involvement. For more specific information, click the book button under our respective events.

Of course, both customized walks and lectures are offered. For more information, please contact Johan by email: johan@swedishspymuseum.se or by phone: 073-730 94 99
